Enhancing the Online Magnitude of a Massachusetts University
A University from Massachusetts wanted to enhance its reach and scale the SERPs for its educational programs. The results this institution was looking for were rather direct, but the challenge was getting them in a short period of time. We were happy to accommodate with our expertise, not only showcasing results but also ensuring that each backlink provided was of high quality.
Although our campaigns lasted only from March 2023 till July 2023, we were able to bring significant calculable ROI in the form of increased traffic and improved Keyword rankings.
The Mission
The client wanted to enhance its off-page reach with more relevant traffic and consequent admission into its Master’s, Doctorate, and Certificate Programs. However, other than relevant links it also wanted specific majors of its programs to get more traction. Doing it all was truly a challenging mission, but one we happily took on. Over the course of the next few months, we steadily acquired high-relevance backlinks by crafting and pitching impeccable content.
The Action Plan
The education industry has always been different, and this holds true even with link-building. While the university itself was eminent and had a good reputation locally, this wasn’t exactly translated the same way when it came to its online presence. However, we knew that with relevant backlinks supplementing the website, this could be easily achieved.
Our action plan was simple and concrete. The task was to outreach to popular blogs and websites that published content. Contacting some of the most popular websites and getting content published on such platforms was truly a feat. Thanks to our focus on creating link-worthy content, even the popular platforms readily accepted our outreach offers and published our content with the client’s destination pages.
Achievements Unlocked
- We scored 170 backlinks for our client in less than 5 months. The highest DA backlink we got for the university had a DA of 72. While others may have had lower DAs, these backlinks brought in a lot of traffic, too. The highest traffic to backlinks amounted to a whopping 935465.
- During our work for this university, the February Product Reviews Update was already being applied, which did affect rank volatility. However, during the period we were building backlinks for the client, Google came out with 2 more updates. These consisted of the March 2023 Core Update and the April 2023 Reviews Update. However, despite multiple updates rolling out, our client’s site managed to gain premium backlinks with improved visibility in the SERPs.
